Trains! Oh boy, trains!: 2005

Trains are a popular request when youngsters come through the line to see Santa. This is one of those times when I interrupt to say that trains are Santa's favorite toy. Of course he loves all toys, but right now he is pretty partial to trains. Santa's bedroom is festive. There are trains around the room and near the ceiling is a frame to hold a train track so the train can go round and round and round. He will enjoy working on that in his spare time for many days to come. Red is a prominent color in the room where a patch work quilt lies on the bed. I am partial to patch work because it reminds me that every member of our family is unique and different, and yet when we all come together we make a marvelous article of creation. Our walls have the pictures of our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren--just like a patch work quilt. Many have been the moods of our bedroom, over the years. Now the question is often "pillow talk or pillow fight?" The last time that question was considered the pillow fight won. Oh, that was fun! If Santa had hit me any harder, feathers would have flown. I'll get him good next time. If you are ever up our way, stop by and give our trains a try. Don't you just love trains? Whoo, whoo.

Boy Santa I sure would like to see a picture of how you did your trains. That is something I want to do in my house as well.

Hello. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. We have been very busy. Santa is busier than I so he asked me to pass this on to you. When our bedroom was built there were ducts that made the ceiling come down further around the sides. He took advantage of this and added a large oval cutout that attached to the covered ducts. On this the track is laid. It is not finished yet but he looks forward to many happy hours working on it. Mrs. Claus
