Can You Keep A Secret?: 2005

One of the dillemas for Santa's family is to not let people know that they are related to him.

This isn't an easy task.

During the holiday season we go to family events

such as school concerts and church parties.

One thirteen-year-old grandson had a concert at the school.

The next day there was a buzz going around the school.

"Why had Mr. and Mrs. Santa come to our concert?" We thought we were incognito.

Our grandson listened to the gossip for awhile before he disclosed,

"Ah, I think that was my grandma and grandpa." The mystery was solved.

He enjoyed the attention and the questions that came to him, for people to gain clarity.

In preparation for a church party that we were going to attend as Mr. and Mrs. Santa, our daughter kept telling her nine-year-old son that, "we need to keep it a secret." Then the night of the party she was so excited being there and seeing us and hearing what people said that she said to many, "That's my parents." Ha ha. What happened to keeping it a secret? We don't mind if people know, as long as they always believe in the Spirit of Santa.
