It's You!: 2005
As you know, one of our favorite things to do after a party is to go through the drive thru window at a fast food place--just to see the reactions of the workers when they see us arrive at the window.
The first time we did that this year we were let down by the response. That young man was just all bah humbug and didn't give any sliver of excitement when he saw us.
We decided to try it again. This time, when Santa ordered, he said all kinds of foolish things that only the elf part of Santa would say and you could tell that the person taking the order wasn't quite sure what was going on.
Of course when we drove up it all made sense. A girl, working next to the order taker, gasped and exclaimed, "Santa, it's you!" Then she ducked and ran to the other part of the building before she came back for another glance. She was just hysterical. She couldn't quit laughing and bending over. It was so much fun!
