The Voice of an Angel:2005
We strolled around Secret Haven when things got slow. A sweet voice came from somewhere and we wanted to find out where it was coming from. When we found her, we found that there was a male singer who took turns with her--to sing his own songs. They both were very talented.
One of the things we notice when we go around to different places during the holidays is how much better life is because of the service of others who share their many talents. How thankful we are for people who do this. Everyone has a gift and when we all share those gifts the world is a better place. We stood and listened to this Angel sing a song about love and how it could go on for a million years. It talked about the ups and downs of relationships. I thought of our own life together and of the storms we have weathered and of the really triumphant moments when it is the very best--appreciated even more because of the harder times. I couldn't keep back the tears. I felt like she was singing about our life together.
People are often curious to find out whether or not we are married. If they are timid about asking that question, then they declare when they see us kiss, "Well, I guess you are married." Santa answers back, "Well, I hope so!"
I echo his sentiments. What would life be like without my sweet husband? When you have been married as long as we have, you have a history together. And you find that themes run through the chapters. I want you to know that the most prominent theme that Santa brings to this marriage is that he loves me unconditionally. That kind of love has given me courage to go on when I didn't think I could. It is a marvelous gift. When one is loved in such a way they want to become worthy of that love. They find strength to lift themselves. I hope there are a million years left to be with my sweet husband. I hope there will be a billion or more...maybe forever. That would be nice.
