Feedback: 2004

Wherever we go we get feedback from people who have seen us or heard about us. A child at church was talking to a friend during the week and called my husband the "Santa from church." People see us on the motorcycle, or waving by the roadside, or in restaurants, or other places, and are eager to tell us about it. At church a teenage girl brought a present to us in a small bag. We opened it. It was a ceramic wreath with a Mr. and Mrs. Santa. This was one of the families that we visited free last year. What you give does come back to you. Our reserved waiter at IHOP was from our church. He went home and told his family about the great fun we had had. Who would have known? He was so shy. While eating at Sterling's restaurant after Christmas, a waitress told us that her little niece had had interaction with a Mr. and Mrs. Santa at the Casa Mia restaurant. She had watched to see how Mr. and Mrs. Santa left and said they just disappeared. She was sure it was by reindeer. The next day she was found praying by the Christmas tree and said she had the Christmas Spirit. Boy, if that is what we have been even a small part of doing, then we have achieved our goal. I often hear Santa directing the people who are listening to him to our Savior. After all, this is his birth.
