Rolling Thunder: 2004

Hungry stomachs told us it was time for breakfast. It was a day off--to do whatever we pleased. We had plans for the afternoon, but what to do about breakfast? We dressed up and got on Santa's motorcycle. I wore his leather jacket to keep warm, as it was quite nippy outside. There was no snow but the temperatures were low. Christmas spirit kept in us the desire to ride to our favorite motorcycle restaurant, the Sage Port Grille. Excellent food! Over the bridge, waving to people as we rode, responding to honking cars, we reached our destination. It is a very popular place and we were told there would be a fifteen minute wait. That's OK. We asked if it was OK for us to mingle. It was. We went around to the customers and tried to give some Christmas spirit. The waitress tells us they will seat us now. We realize that there are others who got there before us and say that we will wait our turn. After an excellent meal and some fun company, we once again put on our riding gear, as little eyes watch through the window. We got on the motorcycle and headed for home. Brrrrrrr. A warm shower was going to feel so good. On the way home we buzzed through the Safeway's parking lot and greeted the shoppers there. Arriving home, we showered and got ready for the day's events. I forgot how good the motorcycle sounds until I got on it once more. Born to Ride!
