Tiny Santa Hat: 1988

Our daughter made a tiny Santa hat for her father. At a family gathering he wore a red and white stripped shirt. He had his own beard. He whitened his beard with flour and put the little hat on his head.

Thus, Santa was born. Santa had family members, including his wife's parents, sit on his lap to tell their Christmas wishes. This got a smile out of even the most somber.

The evening was not complete until each child had been turned upside down in front of the Christmas tree. He or she would pick out an ornament and take a picture of it in their minds to remember forever and always. "click-click." Traditions had been created.

Tradition is important, especially when they bring us to do Good. Naughty or Nice? That is the question. Which would you rather be? Which one brings us to do Good. It is worth taking time to think about the traditions in our life.
